The name 'Kako' is a yupik word for clay. It is a reminder that God is the potter and we are the clay. The purpose of Kako is to be a light in the Eskimo and Native communities in the Yukon Delta area of Alaska.

This video shows a Cessna 2182 landing at Kako. The airstrip requires precise and accurate skills by pilots to land safely as it is very challenging.
