2009 Essay Winners
The 2009 Essay Contest winners are listed below! The winners were chosen by three anonymous judges. The judges examined the essays without knowing who the contestants were. Thanks too all those who participated. Be ready for the 2010 Essay Contest! (Information to follow.)

Essay: Live a New Life
I am Dora. I was baptized on February 2009. I heard about God's Good News from my sister. I am Taiwanese and came to Seattle on March 2009 as an exchange student. I have two older sisters and a younger brother. All of my siblings and I have accepted Jesus Christ in our hearts. We are praying and keeping our faith that Jesus will continue to change our entire family. I love seeking God's words and worshiping Him. I hope more people get to know God and become saved. God is paving my road. He is my Truth and my Life.

Essay: Who is Jesus Christ?
-I'm fifteen and in tenth grade- I am a homeschooler. I really like studying science and history. A lot of my hobbies have to do with those two areas of study. I like being outdoors a lot, but I like reading too. I want to become a Dental Hygienist when I get older, but my real dream is to travel to every country in the world. I became a Christian when I was about six years old. I decided it was useless to put it off to a later date. Because of my sins, if I died, I would go into a lost eternity, but because I trusted in the Lord Jesus' finished work on the cross, I will spend eternity with Him. Where will you spend eternity?

Essay: What is Prayer?
I’m 15 ½ right now- almost 16, I’m a freshman at Kennewick high School. I like science and computer class, it helps me to improve my knowledge and to have a good time learning something new everyday. One of my favorite hobbies is to hang out with my friends, good conversations, and reading science fiction books. I’ve always planned to be a pilot. I’m glad that I am a Christian. I was saved at 7 years old. I wanted to be a Christian because there was no other way to go to Heaven but by believing that Jesus died on the cross to wash our sins away .

Essay: What Is a Christian?
-My favorite hobbies are basketball, volleyball, and also Native Youth Olympics (NYO). I like Writing and Science. I want to be a good Christian and become a dentist when I grow up.
